Home Style Saturdays 51 | Starting Something New Today
Happy weekend everyone! We’ve had a lot of new people subscribing recently, so I wanted to take a minute to welcome all the new people!! We’ve got a great community here of people who love casually elegant living and especially modern French decor, but I also touch on other styles, too. I welcome your comments and requests and I’ve been looking to create a place where like minded decor fans can interact. I’ll be working on my Facebook page to hopefully make that a place where we can all connect and exchange ideas. So be on the lookout for some changes there.
I’m also starting something new today that I’ve been thinking about for a while. Many of you enjoy when I do shopping guides or give resource info on the items I use in my home and my posts. I recently created the Designthusiasm shop (linked at the bottom of this post) where you can find many of my favorite things, but I typically don’t link to the many antiques I use in my home because they’re generally one of a kind pieces that once one is purchased, there are no more available.
Yet these types of items are integral to the style of my home and add an authenticity to the look. So I thought I might try finding 5 or 10 pieces each Saturday to link to in my Home Style Saturdays posts, with the understanding that they are unique pieces and once they are purchased, the link will no longer work. They will always be pieces I would love to buy myself (but either already have one or I’m not ready to buy). They will range in price and be varied items but all will be in the realm of my style. If you guys like this new feature, I will continue it every Saturday (so please tell me in the comments what you think).
For those who are new, ‘Home Style Saturdays’ is a series I do every weekend where I share a recent post from some of my favorite blogging buddies who have similar styles to my own. So here are a few of this week’s vintage finds and then we’ll get on to Home Style Saturdays.

Thank you so much, Norma!!
Of course I love this resource! I’ve used “Ruffled Linens” shop on Etsy. She made a gorgeous white linen tablecloth with a 6″ ruffle and the fabric, workmanship, and price couldn’t be better! Thanks for doing this Lory.
Ginger
Thanks so much, Ginger! So the jury is in, lots of people liking it. Will keep it going… 🙂
Thanks so much for sharing your resources. And kudos again for the GORGEOUS tablescapes presented in your “Welcome the Season” post.
PS: Looking forward to hearing how your folks are doing.
Thanks, Deb!! Posts on my parents’ apartment (including a little video if I can figure out how to post it) are upcoming this week… 🙂 Thanks for asking!!
Love your style. We have the same taste! Thank you for helping us shop! My husband however does not thank you! Your blog is one if my favorites.
Blessings
Haha, I have the same problem here Shelley… 😉 Every time I find something on sale, I tell hubby how much money I saved us and he rolls his eyes and thinks I’d save a whole lot more if I didn’t buy anything! Lol. Life is short… buy the item!
