Townhouse Tour | Part 1 | Main Floor
Welcome to my home! This is the home we moved into as empty nesters and have been working feverishly to make it feel like home. When you’ve lived in a family home for 20 years and it’s pretty much “all done”, and then you suddenly move to a new home that needs all the personal details added, it’s hard to be patient and slowly build the character that took so long to develop in your last home. That’s kind of the state we’ve been in for the past few years. I’ve been revealing rooms as we’ve completed them, and then updating the tour as we refine them. I will be adding to and updating this page as things evolve, but for now, sit back and explore what we’ve done so far.

If you’re new to the blog, we moved from a classic old brick home with lots of character into a new townhouse with oodles of space, but not much intrinsic character. From the outside it looks like every other house on the street, but once inside, we are slowly turning it into our French Country retreat. If you click on the links below, you will be taken to the full posts that show each room in greater detail. At the bottom there’s a link to take you to Part 2 of this tour (the upstairs), as well as a tour of the home we moved from. Come on in and enjoy!
