This week will be an interesting week, as we all prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday. For me it will also be quite busy in that I’m having a big birthday bash for hubby next weekend. Some of you have asked if I’ll be doing holiday decorating on the blog and the answer is absolutely yes! But, I need to get through the coming week before I move on to the December holidays. So, in the meantime, I’ll be posting a few fun things this week in the lead up to the season.
From your reader feedback I’ve realized that many of you were not reading this blog last year at this time and missed some of my most popular holiday posts. So, today I’ll be sharing a round-up of my autumn and Thanksgiving tablescapes. For those of you still working on your tables, I hope it provides you with some inspiration. Even if you have your primary tableware selected, there are some special details you might add to really elevate your tabletop game.
Later this week you can be on the lookout for my first holiday gift guide and a roundup of my December holiday posts, and at Designthusiasm, that means both Christmas and Hanukkah. For now, enjoy the links below and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!! (You can click on the links or the photos to see the whole post with all the details.)
A Romantic Thanksgiving for Two – this setting relies on gold and white to make a quiet private dinner really special. Even without a large crowd joining you, there’s no reason your holiday should be ordinary.
Day After Thanksgiving Lunch – rich fall colors add warmth to a meal that honors Thanksgiving leftovers.
Revisiting a Unique Thanksgiving – a palette of bronze and blue marries two holidays which coincided in a very unique occurrence.
A Sunlit Thanksgiving – this table literally says “thanks” and celebrates my love affair with copper which began last year and shows no signs of abating.
Special Weeknight Table in 5 Minutes – this autumn table shows what you can throw together at the last minute, whether it be a weeknight meal or the extra table in the kitchen for the overflow of guests.
And finally, A Guest Ready Powder Room shows a peek at our powder room dressed for Thanksgiving guests.
