As I devised the plan for this spring table, I started with two thoughts in mind of what I wanted to include and the rest evolved from there.

One of those things was a set of these gorgeous lacy white plates from Arte Italica.

But for this table I felt it needed a bit more complexity, so rather than using the matching salad plates, the element that brought my whole concept together was the use of mis-matched vintage china, all with delicate pink floral trim.

I used fresh roses in two shades of pink, to firmly anchor the color palette of the table. I love the gentle blush pink for its softness and subtlety, yet the pop of fuchsia helps liven things up.

To enhance the warmth of the pinks I chose gilt-trimmed stemware, a lovely way to honor the special occasion.

As I mentioned above there were two things I wanted to include from the very start. The second driving force that influenced the design of this table was the use of cherry blossoms as a stately centerpiece.

Riffing off the other pinks I brought out my favorite ruffled linen napkins in a barely-there blush pink that oozes charm. They’re gathered within a set of exquisite butterfly napkin rings with pretty pastel jewels in classic Easter egg tones.

My Easter table decor is really more white than pink, but the enchanting touches of pink play a commanding role.
