French Country Fridays 7: Celebrating the Charm of French Inspired Decor
Welcome to French Country Fridays 7, a place to celebrate the charm of French inspired decor!
Tell me, do you do this? Despite the fact that I have a full schedule of things I should be doing, I spent an inordinate amount of time yesterday shopping online? What is that? And while I’m doing it, I know I’m wasting time that should be spent elsewhere. And do I stop? No. In fact, every time I pull away, I head right back to it!
The truth is, it’s not really a waste of time. I can be very focused when searching for something and I’m not aimlessly surfing. Just because it’s done online, doesn’t mean it’s any less productive than going to a store with a clear purpose and thoroughly researching a purchase. Among my favorite places to spend time online are Etsy and eBay, because of the endless supply of antiques available in every category.
I think this becomes more apparent to me every time I go in person to an actual antique market. While nothing can replace the thrill of discovering a treasure you can pick up and explore, the number of antique shops is dwindling and the options at any given market are limited. Perhaps if this was the case online, I wouldn’t lose so much time doing it! Having the antique world at my fingertips is exhilarating, and hence irresistible…
