So many pretty things! The final choice, though, depends on how you serve. Do you plate? Buffet? Family-style? Will there be serving dishes on the table? In France, people mostly do family-style, though very formal dinners will be plated. Buffets are rare, reserved for really big crowds.
Wow, that’s so interesting to me. So for you, family style means plates of food on the table? I generally serve buffet style, but the platters might be on the sideboard in the same room. Thanks for stopping by!!
While I sometimes like “family style”, there’s absolutely no room left on the table for centerpieces and pretties. And really, isn’t that what tablescaping is all about?
Lol… for me! But then again, I’m one who never thinks about the menu until the day before, while planning my table setting weeks in advance. Foodies would probably be horrified… 😉
