  1. Everything looks lovely but I must say I love red and green at Christmas.

    1. Thank you, Cheryl! My issue is only with tomato red, but I do very much enjoy richer deeper reds like claret and burgundy. You may even see some here on the blog later in the season… 😉

  2. I love your use of metallics for the holiday. The past few years, my tree has been a combination of dark rust and gold shiny balls with gold beaded swags and vintage small copper ornaments that are kitchen implements – pots & pans, teakettles, skillets, tableware, etc. While not a decorator’s tree, it’s one that I find to be comforting and realistic to my casual way of life. No red/green for me either.

  3. Always so classy and elegant Lory and I look forward to seeing the rest of what you do!

Simple and elegant! I’m dragging my silver service tea set out and polishing it. It’s so big and beautiful when clean and shiny; I’m ashamed that I haven’t been displaying it. Thanksgiving is the perfect time to bring it out and use it! Thanks for the inspiration! The formal softness of your holiday decorations is very relaxing.

  5. Love your mix of pretty metals Lory – and the twin trees is such a festive touch!

Thanks for joining us my friend:)

  6. I love the trees on either side of the fireplace – what a great idea! I laughed out loud about your “riotous” red & green! That pretty much sums up my preference too, which is why I love your decorating so much! 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration, the laugh, and the simpatico! ?

    1. Haha, I never mean to insult anyone who does love the red and green, but it’s just not my thing. Yes to a deep rich burgundy with forest green, but tomato red and kelly green… that’s a no for me… 😉

  7. Love your choice of metallic with softer colors. It’s just romantic & beautiful! Love it all!

  8. So beautiful and serene! I love the trees on either side of the fireplace. I only use small tabletop top trees. So much easier to decorate. I would like to know where you got the faux candles. Thanks for sharing your beauty!

Wow the pop up ads are crazy! Too many & hard to focus on what I wanted to see in your pics. 😢

    1. There should only be one and it’s easy to X out of. If you’re seeing more, please screen shot and send to me. Thank you so much!
