  2. Lory, your pumpkins are gorgeous and I love the way you styled them in that Swedish cabinet….the one I’m drooling over, by the way! It’s stunning!

    1. Thanks so much, Cindy! Btw, it’s actually not vintage. It’s Soft Surroundings! Wish they still had it. So many people ask me about it… 🙂

  3. I am head over heels for your exquisite silver pieces!!! I’m forever a fan of Baroque silver! Just gorgeous!!!!!!! You have created a really exceptional transition into fall!

    1. Thank you, Alycia! It is so much fun styling with vintage silver… 🙂 It just gives any vignette a special look. So excited for fall decorating!

  4. Who would ever think to put velvet pumpkins in a home office setting? Oh yes….YOU would and I love it!

    1. Haha! Thanks, Janet! I had just done a mantel a few weeks ago and wanted to try something different. Although, I can do tables all day long and never get tired of them… 😉

  5. Loving the white pumpkins with the French furniture!

  6. Pretty ! I have seen other french style bloggers use these soft colors in fall. Most of my decor has moved into creams, ivories , some black and french blue and am loving it. Even so, I bring out the rusts, golds, and more black for a fall look. Including pumpkins of all colors, mostly white and blue, but also a few orange. Well, ok, orange is not a favorite. I find it all cheering, because to be honest I only endure summer here in Boulder where the sun is blistering at 5000 ft. and I do not like hot weather. Fall is a reminder that it is almost over and cool weather is on its way. And Halloween is fun.

    1. Thanks, Jillian! I actually do add more color as the season progresses, so I eventually get to the traditional fall colors but I like to add a twist to make it a bit different and more me. Last year I did one table where I added pink to the fall tone palette and I think it worked well for my taste. If you haven’t seen that one yet, you can check it out here: http://designthusiasm.com/autumn-color-fall-tablescape/

      1. I just visited…that is nice, The green softens the bright colors and the golden goblets and grey vase are pretty also. Thanks for the link!

  7. I love your colors. I’m not a huge fan of orange so this is perfect. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous secretary.

I adore that silver footed bowl. I can’t seem to find anything like it. Do you happen to know the manufacturer or any of the markings on the bottom?

  17. Cecilia from Georgia says:

Hi Lori! I love your secretary ?. It’s fun to look at previous posts and see how your house has changed. I like the soft green walls but the current white is pretty too. I’m changing my guest room and have always had some color on my walls; but you have inspired me and I’m going to go with a white. Love your blog and all the beautiful tablescapes you share. Happy Fall! XOXO

    1. Thank you Cecelia! Actually, my master bedroom still has green walls, but I’ve changed the linens to all white… 🙂 I probably would go whiter on the walls, though, just haven’t done it yet.
