In this post: Looking for furniture that’s made in the USA? This shopping guide is brimming with modern farmhouse furniture options for your country cottage home.⇒
Design styles are a lot like music genres.
Often no two people will agree on what category a particular look fits in. Many styles overlap and there are always multiple sub-categories arising from varied influences and mixes.
So when I call this a Farmhouse Furniture shopping guide, I use the term loosely. The truth is, any of the items can be used for a range of styles from cottage to coastal to transitional to even modern.
And, of course, all can be fashioned to fit into a French Country home. For a more casual country look you can sprinkle in French decor pieces with lots of patina, while for a more tailored flavor try adding gilded mirrors and crystal chandies.
What really sets these selections apart is the fact that all are made in the USA.
In fact, this guide essentially arose by a special request brought about by a reader’s comment. She liked the well priced items I usually link to, but pointed out that most were imported from overseas. It wasn’t something I had thought much about, after all it’s hard enough to find items that are affordable and aesthetically pleasing.
But I decided to take the comment as a bit of a challenge and searched for options that fit the aesthetic I like to present here, but with the added parameter that they had to be American made. (Hence there are a few items that are a bit pricier than what I usually link, but most remain within the usual range.)
At first it was difficult to find a good representation of my favorite looks, but after extensive searching, ultimately the guide grew much bigger than what I initially had planned. There are 10 categories touching on the various rooms in the home and while they’re quite versatile, they exemplify modern farmhouse style.
And if I’m being totally honest, if it wasn’t a guide touting American made products, I really would’ve called it French Farmhouse!

Click on the items below (in the squares) for direct links to the products. All pieces were available at the time of publishing, but products do run out from time to time. I will do my best to update this guide as often as possible. If you notice something that’s out of stock, feel free to alert me and I can try to source it elsewhere.
Also note, all of the items were labeled “Country of Origin: USA” at the time of publishing. A few items are made in the USA with imported materials, but most are fully domestic. If a manufacturer changes their production and you find an item that is no longer American made, again, feel free to let me know so I can update.

I couldn’t say I won’t link to imported products anymore, but I’m thrilled to have this comprehensive ‘Made in USA’ guide that I’ll do my best to keep updated. I may add categories as time goes on, or do a separate guide with smaller home decor items. If you want to support American made products, this is a great place to start!
