Lory, your living room is beautiful and the pink & copper are so fresh together. The rug is such a timeless piece of art that is perfect in your living room. I’m enjoying the tour and glad it’s spread out over the week or I would be glued to my computer all day!

  2. Hi Lory,
I too love copper, but finding affordable pieces can be challenging. I have spray painted metal containers with a coppertoned paint and it’s worked very well especially for items used to hold flowers. While there’s nothing like the real thing, these blend in very nicely.

I am wondering about your use of pink and the feminine touches to your decor- does this bother your husband at all? I love flowers and florals and used them for many years but stopped after my sons gave me such a hard time. My husband loves flowers, loves to garden, but I think he is almost embarrassed by it. So I’ve toned down the feminine appeal to my decor. Just wondering since I look at your rooms and knowi would feel so at home in them.

    1. Haha, great question, Margo! Well, first of all, my husband is colorblind, so that helps… 😉 He’s also incredibly easy-going. But, as for the whole feminine vibe, here’s a very interesting way to look at it. If you went to a really elegant hotel, it might be decorated with florals and French antiques. But no one ever complains or finds that too feminine. So why not have the same kind of decor at home?

That said, I do think there are some things that would be just too far, like really frilly almost childlike decor that overcomes the whole room. I try to keep my decor tailored and elegant and the pinks are just accents. Also, our living room is not used very often. But hubby does sit at my French desk in our study almost every day!

  3. Beautiful, Lory! The copper and pink are such a pretty combination! Thanks for being part of this tour series:) Happy summer!

  4. The living room is beautiful. Both cozy and classy looking! And, don’t peonies just make any room look better?!?

  5. I always swoon over your living room, so gorgeous! I also love love that rug too.

Your front room is gorgeous. Love all the pink and copper, also did you order your couch special. I love the fabric and that it only has 2 cushions. I have been looking for the same thing and thought I would have to have someone recover the one I have.

  7. I love seeing the complete room. The rug does carry the theme, so beautiful. The natural woods give stability. Glass, silver, copper, gold all arranged together….perfect. The copper and pink is the highlight of the room. You have certainly shown copper and pink at its best.

I love the pink and copper. I have a lot of copper, but have never used pink with it. That may be my next do-over!

  9. Lacy you have a very lovely home. I only have one suggestion as an artist myself the Laurence Amelie painting above your sofa would look better with a lighter color frame.
Hope you are not offended by my suggestion.

    1. Hi Terri,

Thanks for the kind words about my home. Not offended at all, although I don’t agree. Btw, the painting is not Laurence Amelie, it’s Debi Coules. I believe it’s linked in the post.

      Best regards,
      Lory

    2. Love the pink with copper, though we don’t have a neutral canvas like you do. I’ve had great luck with Afloral, very high quality flowers and eucalyptus. Highly recommend their merchandise.

Love the copper accents. Must get mine out and try this look. Thanks for showing yet another great decorated idea.

Pink room decor is always a winning option. Copper and blush home decor ideas can make your interior fresh and sophisticated. Use pink color pops to break up an earth-toned palette and copper pots. You can make the simple rustic country style look great in your living space.
