Style Showcase 80: Your Destination for Home Decor Inspiration
Happy Wednesday everyone and welcome to Style Showcase 80, the link party that’s your destination for home decor inspiration!
Before we get to the party, I have 2 things to mention. First, we’re so happy to have our friend Yvonne from StoneGable joining us this week as a guest host. You may already know Yvonne from Home Style Saturdays and if you’re new to her blog, you will love what she has to share. She has a great eye for decorating and a wonderful way of explaining her design theories. I know you will enjoy her posts!
The second thing I wanted to share is the 2 new prize options for this week’s Vintage Giveaway. In addition to the tole floral candlestick holder remaining from last week, I am adding a lovely Royal Grafton bone china teacup, seen below.
The teacup is in excellent vintage condition and is quite pretty.
As a reminder, the other piece is a floral tole candlestick holder. It’s also in very good condition (although one petal was glued back on) and it measures 6” wide x 3 3/4” high.
In case you missed the details about the Giveaways, I’ll re-post them here:
Each week I will post two items that the winner will select from. In order to be entered in the drawing, all you need to do is comment on a post on the blog between today and next Saturday. The more comments you post, the more chances you have to win, but the winner will be selected randomly and blindly, so even one short comment can produce a winner.
Once the winner is selected, I will announce it next Saturday during Home Style Saturdays. (I will get mailing addresses privately to send your gifts.) The winner will choose between the two offered items and the remaining one will go into the following week’s giveaway with a second option for the next winner to choose between. I have lots of items to give away and should be able to continue this for close to a year. You can win more than once, since winners are chosen completely randomly.
Good luck!! Now on to this week’s Style Showcase…

What a nice thing to say. Thank you!
I look forward to your emails every morning!
How nice that is to hear!! You made my day… 🙂
The giveaway is so generous of you! I am really enjoying seeing these beautiful pieces and look forward to the weekly additions like a browse through an antique shop.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying!!
I love style showcase! Thank you for the chance at the giveaway
Thank you! And my pleasure!!
Thank you for coming up with the giveaway! I collect teacups, this one is beautiful!
You’re most welcome!! Are teacups so charming?
I’m more of a farmhouse type of girl, but I am really loving french country! Love your blog!
I think they’re very closely related. Maybe more gilding and crystal in French decor, but the chippy and vintage looks are common to both… 🙂
Love all your decorating ideas.
Thanks so much!!
Lory, thanks so so much for inviting me to guest host Style Showcase! Lots of pretty inspiration so far today. I’m so grateful for your friendship! I’ll check back later for more inspiration.
You are so sweet, Yvonne!! We loved having you as our guest host!
Yvonne was the very first blogger I started following and I love her style! The links you have today are great and such an assortment of ideas! Happy hump day! XOXO
Isn’t she wonderful? A great friend too! Glad you’re enjoying the post today.
Love the showcases and really, really love the teacup!
Ah, so glad to hear that! I have quite a few teacups in the giveaway pile (which are all lined up on a dresser I will be painting soon. Stay tuned for that reveal… ;-)).
I can’t believe the beautiful candle holder is still available, but the tea cup is really nice, I would love to win either one, thank you for sharing these with us, even if I don’t win. This is a really nice idea
Thank you Diane, and there’s so much more upcoming… 🙂
I love your blog and decorating ideas! I can’t wait to read it!
I’m so glad to hear that!! Thank you!
I have my grandmothers tea cup collection. Some of your recent posts have encouraged me to order some tea party books….
I have ordered 3 in the last month.
That’s really awesome!! There’s something so delightful about the entire tea ritual… 🙂
Love your site !
Thank you so much, Sharon!
I love looking at these posts and have enjoyed incorporating some of these ideas into my own home. I’m here in Paris and it’s pouring so we’ll pray for sun for tomorrow for visiting those French markets! Hopefully I can find that perfect something for the country French decor you ladies do so well.
Ahhhh, those lovely French markets! How lucky!
Giveaway is a great idea!
Thanks, Susan!!
