I love having a white kitchen because its so easy to change the decor for any holiday. It doesn’t even take much. A lovely floral, some bits of baubles in a tray, some greenery scattered about and you’re good to go!⁣

You probably already know I love to share my favorite accounts and today I’m sharing one I’ve been enjoying for a while. My friend Annie @zevyjoy has a delightful sense of style and a real talent for understated elegance. Her home is warm and inviting, updated but classic, and always unique with her own charming perspective. Be sure to check her out!!⁣

A fun little tablescape that celebrates the harvest time of year, this floral centerpiece reflects the imagery found on the root vegetable plates. Artichoke handles on the serving pieces also drive the point home. Color-wise it opens the door to the holiday decor coming soon. This is what transitions are about for me.

I’m just not a red and green kind of girl. Sure, I’m fine with rich burgundy and deep forest, but I don’t do tomato red, especially when it’s mixed with kelly green. One of my favorite holiday color palettes makes use of varied tones of metallics and you can find my tips for decorating with metallics on the blog this week. I’ve joined a great group of blogger friends who are also sharing some early Christmas inspiration!

Holiday entertaining is so much more than just setting a pretty table. For me it’s all about setting a mood. In this dining room, I used candlelight, seasonal music and aromatic melted wax in the Frasier Fir scent from #BHGatWalmart to create a little Christmas magic! I love playing with fall colors and my favorite palette takes the range of autumn colors and kind of white-washes them. Its like adding an overlay of white paint to the rainbow of fall color. For me it retains the warmth of the traditional palette, yet adds a touch of feminine style. Do you do fall colors?
