Cherry Blossom Decor: How These Branches Inspire Spring Table Settings
In this post: Do you love cherry blossom season? Check out these cherry blossom decor ideas to use for your lovely spring table settings.⇒
Not that long ago I fell in love with cherry blossoms.
It’s not a fickle attachment. I think once you fall for the lovely pink blooms, the love is lasting.
I suppose it helps that I found out, much to my surprise, that we have a park nearby that’s dedicated to the trees, complete with a full-on festival in spring.
I mean the place is literally 15 minutes from my house. How could I not know?
It’s now become one of my favorite things to do this time of year. I grab my camera and head over to the park to be surrounded by the beautiful cherry blossoms in all their glory.
I’m no expert on the topic in terms of the different varieties, but there are many and the mix is quite lovely.
As ubiquitous as they seem at first glance, a closer look reveals a lot of diversity that warrants individual attention. The variation in color, size and shape is a delight to study and even more fun to photograph.
There’s nothing quite like being enveloped underneath this blanket of delicate pink blossoms
This mix of varied pinks and whites, as well as the diversity of the actual blooms, can be found reflected in home decor. I have many different faux branches in my own home and I’ve used them in my table settings, as well.
So soft and delicate, they foreshadow the gentility of the coming season.
Does anything really say spring quite like cherry blossoms? Pop a grouping in a vase and a room is instantly changed!
Yet unlike a few branches in an urn, when you see the lushness of the trees in person, it’s truly compelling.
The most amazing thing is that they’re so pretty up close, it’s hard to imagine this was a rainy grey day when I took these photos. I’ll be sure to head back this year on a sunnier day.
I love the contrast of dark woods against the dainty flora and bringing this look into my home is a must for spring!
Below you will find inspiration in tablescapes that utilize cherry blossoms, from the first image which was my own table set for Easter, as well as others I’ve linked from around the web. There’s also a shopping guide beneath with a broad range of options to bring this lovely look into your own home, from faux branches in every shade of pink to other tabletop delights. What a wonderful gift from nature (and the manufacturers that mimic it… ;-))!

Thanks so much, Jan! It’s so funny how photos are enhanced by context and what they are surrounded by. These were taken in a park in a *very* urban area… lol.

Thank you so much!! Got a bit delayed in my responses, as we just moved, but so glad to hear you appreciated the post… 🙂
Your pictures are beautiful. I’m so thrilled to see them. We don’t have those in S, Texas where I live. I would love to see them in person someday. The colors are so pretty. From a distance they remind me of petticoats all frilly and poofy.
Thank you, Elizabeth! Sorry it took a few weeks to reply to this comment, but we just moved and it was completely overwhelming. Hope you are doing well in Texas and not hit by the flooding. Thanks again!
Oh Lory, your pics are so beautiful and dreamy! Love, love, love cherry threes in blossom, they are just perfect. Love the gorgeous tablescapes you’ve shared, such a great inspiration!

Thanks so much, Vesna! (Sorry for the delayed reply – been crazy busy moving, but getting settled in now… :-))
These are all so beautiful. Soft pink and white is a favorite color scheme of mine. Love them all!
Thanks, Bev! A favorite of mine too… 🙂
As lovely as the posts are, I wonder why the reruns?
I assume you’re coming over from BNOTP? I posted the Amalfi tablescape since Susan just returned from Positano and I mentioned it to her. The other two I felt were timely for upcoming Valentine’s Day. Keep in mind, a lot of new readers haven’t seen last year’s posts and the nature of a blog is that if you don’t repost, they will be gone forever. I was a new blogger last year, so very few people saw the posts. I did, however, post a new Valentine’s Day tabletop post today but not in time to get in the party this morning, so I figured I’d hold it for next week.
You’ve shared one of my favorite blossoms. Isn’t it interesting out in so many of the tabled that you’ve included, it is the cherry blossom itself that is the star of the show? Your photography is lovely. Thanks for inviting us for a peek. Cherry Kay
Thanks so much, Cherry! And how lovely that your name is Cherry… 🙂 Thanks for the kind words and for visiting and taking the time to leave comments!!
Lovely photographs, lovely table settings. Isn’t it interesting how the cherry blossom ends up being the star of the show on every table. Thanks for inviting us for a peek. Cherry Kay
I’m guessing you thought your first comment didn’t go through, but alas, I got them both. Which makes me doubly grateful that you didn’t give up when you thought the first comment was lost! Thanks again… 🙂
