I began this blog as an outlet for my design passions, when a friend suggested I create it to showcase the tablescapes I was styling to entertain family and friends. As my tables became increasingly elaborate, an audience began to grow on social media who looked forward to what I would post as holidays approached. This little cheering section encouraged me to reach a larger audience and soon Designthusiasm was born.

The blog has since evolved and is now as much about home decor and styling as it is about setting lovely tables, but mostly it’s about connecting with like-minded people who love beautiful design and appreciate the pleasure it brings to one’s life. I’ve long known that it’s the small pleasures in life that matter and my goal is to help you discover them and bring joy to your home and lifestyle.

As a former fashion designer, I’ve spent my whole life inspired by exquisite design. My love of travel has honed my taste and my style can now be described as modern French Country. I enjoy casual elegance and a respect for the past, so I love to incorporate a mix of old and new.
