French Country Fridays 2: Celebrating the Charm of French Inspired Decor
Welcome to French Country Fridays 2, a place to celebrate the charm of French inspired decor!
Last week when I introduced this series, I mentioned that the goal was to provide you with a little weekly respite and a look at those things that make life a bit more pleasant. This is precisely what I most love about home decor and I feel this ever more poignantly this week. When things get ugly out there, it’s comforting to come home to a place that recharges and uplifts us. It’s consoling to take refuge in the peaceful shelter of family, surrounded by people and things we love.
I love French Country style not only for its beauty but also for its celebration of life’s small pleasures. I love the value of artisan workmanship, the cozy welcome of a well set table, the promise of a pretty bucket of flowers and most saliently of all, the warmth of familial relationships that underlies all these things.
Wishing you all a safe and restful weekend!
