Welcome to my home!
Well, to be more accurate, this is the home we lived in for 20 years while we brought up our kids. It was the setting for very special memories and went from a barely decorated home with some empty rooms, to an over-stuffed family home that suddenly didn’t feel big enough.
We did construction adding a new kitchen and a master bath, as well as converting a sunroom into an indoor library. There were other updates while I developed my styling identity.
I was never even close to being done, but once the kids moved out, we chose to move to a home better suited to our new lifestyle. You can see links to our current house tour at the bottom of this one.
We’ve been out of this home for several years, so even at its most finished point it seems dated now, but in order to see where my design sense evolved from, I thought it would be interesting to include it here, among our house tours.
You’ll see a lot more color here than in my current home and a more traditional interpretation of French Country decor. But you can also see many of the same elements I still favor, from gilding to crystal, floral to white linen, antique silver to chippy patina and of course many of the French style furniture pieces I still own.
Enjoy the tour!
