1.) Do you wish you could reinvent Spaghetti night? I’ve got three great ideas that will help you do just that! First, think a little outside the box and make Spaghetti Soup. Second, make a casserole! This Baked Spaghetti recipe is a family favorite. Last, instead of cooking your spaghetti sauce on the stovetop, try a different method. This Homemade Spaghetti Sauce is made in the microwave, so it’s super quick and easy!

7.) INSPIRING PLACES: this historic and sophisticated captain’s house in Sag Harbor, and a Connecticut cottage that’s rich with color, pattern, and personality. Both of these homes are on a site called Desire To Inspire, which has some lovely content. Check it out!

8.) I have to share one more home tour because my mouth dropped open when I saw the upstairs hallway. There is limitless inspiration in just this one space. There’s wallpaper, wall sconces, and beadboard, and although this is a high-end home, there are so many ideas that can be accomplished on a budget. 

9.) We welcomed the first day of spring, and the weather here in Ohio has cooperated with the calendar. We’ve had some beautiful days. Millie and I walk every morning, and our time spent outside has been so enjoyable. It has definitely soothed my soul. So for the coming week, I wish you soul-soothing weather, and enough time left at the end of the day to relax.

4. DECOR CRUSHES THIS WEEK:

UNDER $100: This pretty spring into summer painting, this almost real Maidenhair fern in a pot, my favorite basket, this chinoiserie indoor planter on sale, one of my favorite decorative gold bowls, this classic table lamp, and this glass hurricane in a footed base.

OVER $100: Most asked for piece of furniture in our home, this beautiful solid wood sideboard (LOVE), chic tufted side chairs (set ot 2), and my air fryer.

6. EASY DESSERT IDEAS: These would be perfect for Easter! These can be made with any fruit. Make this Strawberry Lemon Pound Cake, and this beautiful Rhubarb Galette with a pre-made pie crust.

7. FUN AND INTERESTING FACTS: What country was the first to paint Easter eggs? Where did the tradition of the Easter bunny come from?

BEST HOSTESS GIFTS: If you are a guest for Easter, think about taking something nice to your hostess like this sweet set of herb-printed tea towels, this set of spring inspired mugs filled with chocolate eggs, this lovely aloe and bergamot candle, this pair of polka dot egg salt and pepper shakers, this beautiful ribbed vase (in several colors) with a bouquet of flowers in it, 

9. DELICIOUS EGG SALAD RECIPE: Have you ever used cream cheese to make egg salad? It’s so good! Chop six hard-boiled eggs and set aside. In a bowl, mix 1/4 cup whipped cream cheese, 2 TBS mayonnaise, and 2 tsp Dijon mustard. Optional: Add 1 TBS finely chopped fresh chives. Add the cream cheese mixture to the eggs and stir to combine. Salt and pepper to taste. This recipe is perfect for leftover Easter eggs. You can also make this egg salad in a food processor to make it more of a creamy egg salad. Pluse the ingredients until mixed.
