wrapped Christmas gifts under tabletop tree

1.) Decorating for Christmas without a tree definitely has its advantages, but I know it’s not for everyone. It’s a great solution for small spaces, and saves time during the busy weeks before Christmas. This year, I decided to skip a large tree, so take a look at all the ways I decorated without one!

2.) If you need some fresh holiday decor, visit the OSP Christmas Market for inspiration.

3.) FAVORITE QUOTE: “If you ever find yourself wondering why you continue to do something you don’t seem to enjoy anymore, ask yourself why you began in the first place. You’ll either find the reasons to continue or the reasons to stop.” Found HERE.

4.) STOCKING STUFFER IDEAS FOR KIDS:

  • you can never go wrong with a Slinky
  • Alphabet Go Fish playing cards
  • I love these little Bluey doll sets
  • these flavored lip balms
  • a map of the United States pouch puzzle
  • a Duncan Yoyo
  • a Disney gift card

5.) FUN HOLIDAY SNACKS: these Christmas tree mini pizzas, this addicting Old English cheese dip, cranberry brie bites, these Italian sub pinwheel rollups, and these beautiful sugared cranberries.

6.) HOLIDAY INSPIRATION: take a tour of Emily Henderson’s farmhouse decorated with charm and color, and then tour this stunning family home that’s decked with warmth and style.

7.) EASY HANDMADE CHRISTMAS GIFTS: eggnog bread, snickerdoodle bread, orange cranberry bread, these cinnamon applesauce ornaments, or this white chocolate bark. (Just use Christmas M&M’s!)

8.) TREAT YOURSELF, OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE, TO NEW PAJAMAS!

  • this cute Cuddl Duds jogger pajama set
  • this soft knit sleepshirt in 7 different prints
  • my daughter’s favorite knit pajamas
  • this comfy cotton French terry sleep set
  • this cozy 3-piece pajama set
  • this long sleeved knit pajama set in super fun stripes

9.) MY WISH FOR YOU: a week filled with productive days, and sweet restful sleep at night. XO

7. FUN AND INTERESTING FACTS: What is the first full moon on December 15th called? What is December’s birthstone and flower?

8. THIS AND THAT: Need an idea for that leftover turkey? Try these easy and yummy Turkey Crescent Roll-Ups. I made them for a family lunch on Saturday, and they were a huge hit! Creative Thanksgiving Leftover Recipes will help you clean out your frig and make delicious recipes! Turkey Bone Broth is so good for you! Use dry vermouth instead of apple cider for a cleaner taste.

9. CHRISTMAS MOVIES: Bobby and I love old movies! Here are a few of our favorites: An Affair To Remember, The Bishop’s Wife, Mrs. Miniver, and It’s A Wonderful Life. Enjoy!

10. CULINARY CORNER: 4-Ingredient No-Bake Cookie Bites—Melt 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips in a nonreactive bowl over simmering water or in the microwave. Add 1 cup of peanuts, 2 1/2 cups crushed potato chips, and 1 cup butterscotch chips and stir. Drop 1 TBS of the mixture onto parchment paper and let harden. These are so delicious and addictive!

ANSWER TO #7: December’s full moon is called Cold Moon. Named by the Mohawk tribe as December is when cold air sets in. December’s birthstones are turquoise, tanzanite, and blue zircon. And the flowers are holly, poinsettia, narcissus, and orchids. Now you know.
