  1. So pretty Lory, and so you! Love the pink jars!

  2. Another winner, Lory! I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of your plaid champagne flutes. I, too, am a big brunch aficionada, and I’m now at a point when I can pull one off in a heartbeat with all the practice I’ve had. Love your flowers! Your red ones, especially are so beautifully bright. I would have agreed with you completely a few years back about kitsch, however, I think I’m mellowing. Now, instead of agreeing 100%, I’m at 95%.. I’ve found that people do enjoy a little kitsch once in a while. It seems to relax them because it feels more informal, and, if I’m clever enough, I can find a kitschy element that will also act as a conversation starter. I think the trick is, as you’ve shown us here with the stars, to do understated kitsch, just a little something to make people smile and remind them of the theme. What a lovely way to start a 4th of July weekend! Thank you for all the great ideas.

    1. Thanks, Maria! Ha ha… as I was reading your comment, I was thinking, “but the stars”… lol! Yep, you mentioned them. So yeah, I think I’m about 95% of the way there too… 😉 Thanks for visiting!!

    1. Thanks, Maryjo! Funny, when I put the link in to the glasses, I was noticing how expensive the goblets have become – I guess because they are not made anymore? I have them for so long – I certainly didn’t pay that kind of price. They’re really heavy and so wonderful. Thanks for stopping by!!

  8. You have a very sophisticated take on red, white and blue!! Such a pretty table. I especially like your vintage crystal condiment holder and your stemware- they are just beautiful. Enjoy your 4th!!!

  9. Lovely! I especially like the silver chargers. Where can I find some? They would be perfect with my China. Thank you.

I love your decor for red, white & blue ideas. Where in the world did you find red Mason jars??

  16. Donna Milazzo says:

Your post inspired me to pull out my box of Patriotic decor and add a few things to my front garden for tomorrow. We moved recently and the inside of our home is just not yet in order enough for a nice table setting, but my little flags and pinwheels will hopefully add a touch of Americana to our front garden. The full-sized American flag was already set to go out in the morning, but a few extra touches will be nice as well. I have a small bistro table with 2 chairs in the front, and put a red/cream cloth napkin on top with a faux white hydrangea in a red vase, tucked in a couple of tiny flags, and sprinkled a few red/white/blue stars around it. Thanks for the ‘nudge’! Hoping it will bless the neighbors who are walking the neighborhood more than ever!
