French Country Fridays 30: Savoring the Charm of French Inspired Decor

Welcome to French Country Fridays 30, a place to celebrate the charm of French inspired decor!

Have you got a time of year when you get the most work done? Do you like to get out there in the summer and get all your projects completed? Or is it more a time to relax with family and friends and hold off projects until the fall? Maybe winter is your time because you’re home hibernating anyway? Or are you cozy on the couch with no motivation to do much?

For me, the best time to get home projects done is when I’m about to host a party. I’ve had multiple projects at varying stages of completion all summer and now, suddenly, there’s a flurry of activity because I’ll be hosting an event in a few weeks at our house. It’s the best motivator for project completion! So I finally took the painting in for framing. Finally ordered the lighting I picked months ago. Finally outfitted a closet in the basement to store extra pillows. And on and on it goes. It remains to be seen how much is actually done in time for the party, but I love that it got me moving again.
