  1. I am looking forward to seeing your very own Christmas tree. My husband is Jewish, but I’m Catholic. This year we’re going to celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah as they fall on the same day. A menorah will be the centerpiece for my dining table with a blue and white theme.

    1. How lovely, Nilda, to share each other’s holidays! And yes, it’s wonderful that they coincide this year… 🙂 I’m finally packing away the pumpkins, so now I’ve got to figure out how to decorate this tree!

  2. As a Christian I am thrilled for you to share my holiday. Really the tree is just for pretty for me too. The real celebration is the birth of my Savior. So enjoy. I look forward to seeing what you do with your tree.

    1. Thanks, Susie! And yes, what we believe in our hearts has nothing to do with a tree. I’m very excited and will so enjoy decorating it… 🙂 (I also like to learn about others’ beliefs and find it fascinating to read about various religions. We are more alike than we are different!)

  3. Can’t wait to see your holiday tree! We gave up on trees years ago…too much trouble to make a space for it in our small ranch house. Then there’s where to put all the decorations…oy vey…we used to have a beautiful winter village but the mechanics of storage and assembly got to be too much…

Donna, after reading and seeing all the decor, you must do a tree this Christmas-even a small live one will fill your ranch with so much joy !!!!! Then share your pix with us. Happy Holidays 🙂

    2. Ha ha, Donna, well I have no idea where I will store everyone once I’m done either! But for now I’m just planning on enjoying and having fun… 🙂

  4. We also celebrate Chanukah but every year we host a get together during the Christmas season. I decorate with winter themes in white and silver and traditional blue with real candles placed safely everywhere. The house is warm and welcoming and festive and honours ours and our friends traditions.

    1. Hi, Tsiporah! That’s what I always did in the past and would continue to do if it wasn’t for the blog. I have several Hanukkah posts I’ve done the last 2 years and will certainly do at least one again this year… 🙂

Can’t wait to see what you do-Hurry please , so we can see and copy !!Just love your home and that gorgeous new kitchen. I’m sure you want to have an open house to show it off !!!!

    1. Lol, thanks Kathy! The blog is my open house! 😉 I’ll be starting on holiday decor this week, but the tree won’t be posted until the first week in December. Actually, I can’t believe how soon that is! I better get moving…

  6. I checked out your kitchen remodel and it is gorgeous! Great job.

Lory, you will enjoy having a tree this year. I’m sure it will look lovely! Enjoy!

We do four trees in our home — one in our Living Room, one in the Dining Room, one in the Den and one in our Master Bedroom. Just love to have the trees all decorated at Christmas.

Christmas is my favorite time of the year!

    1. Wow, I can’t imagine what goes into decorating 4 trees! But oh how fun!! I already see each year I add more and more. I love having the blog because I always wanted an excuse to decorate for Christmas… 😉
