Hi Lory, In regards to keeping your parents dessert set, you said you were missing pieces to make 8 servings. Try Replacements.com or Ebay used items. Just type in the make and pattern and you should find enough to complete the set. I had the same problem with my Mom’s wedding china which were missing pieces. Now I have a complete setting for 12.
