Last week I talked about the many projects I’m working on, but there are often times when I’m not working on any big projects at all. It’s times like those that I enjoy aimless shopping and there’s something absolutely delightful about that. It’s when I find myself leisurely strolling an antique market with no list in mind and let things inspire me purely by chance. That’s when I find little surprises that I buy purely because I love them and not because they fill some goal I have in mind.

I love being in that position, when I just find things serendipitously. That’s usually how I shop when I travel, too, and there is something so relaxed about this type of browsing. It’s exactly when you know that you won’t waste money because you’ll only buy something that utterly charms you. There really is nothing like shopping without a list!
