Home Style Saturdays 44 | A Beautiful New Book and a Giveaway
Are you enjoying a relaxing summer weekend? I hope so! And do your weekend plans include time in the garden? I’m not the most adept gardener myself, but I’m crazy in love with flowers and enjoy floral arranging! If, like me, this is a passion of yours, or you simply want to learn how to create your own arrangements, I’ve got a beautiful new book to share with you. It’s by my friend Kelly, who blogs at My Soulful Home, and it’s a stunning book that was just released.

“My Soulful Home ~ a year in flowers” is full of inspiration that will bring joy to your life. Each chapter overflows with information, advice, tips & tutorials. Practical advice is woven together with vivid stories in a tone that embraces the novice to experienced floral designer.

Kelly’s 12 tutorials, coinciding with the month’s of the year, can be re-created petal by petal or use them as a spring board to your own designs. You will have more than enough knowledge about flowers, floral care & design after reading the book to create just about anything with flowers.

Each page empowers you, not only with knowledge on the how & why of floral design, but on a deeper level gives you a simple way to elevate your everyday.

As Kelly says… “Don’t spend your life waiting for someone to send you flowers. Make your own arrangements”. With her book you can do just that!

To celebrate the launch of her book, Kelly is giving away a beautiful blue & white vintage tureen, a pair of her favorite floral shears and a supply of flower food. The tureen is very old and bears the chippy goodness we love.
To enter all you need to do is pop over to Kelly’s blog HERE, have a look at the collage image of arrangements at the bottom of the page. Then come back here and tell me in the comments below which one you liked best.
The photo collage image starts with January & ends with December. Leave a comment on this post indicating your favorite & you are entered. The winner will be randomly selected and notified by email. The give away runs 7/19 – 7/26. The winner will be notified by email on 7/28.

I love the red-white-& blue arrangement in the galvanized bucket because it is not fussy, just beautifully casual and incorporates a favorite of mine – thistles!
Love the teacup arrangement. Would look lovely on a small table. The arrangements are all beautiful.
I loved the daffodil arrangement! Fun and unusual.
I think that’s the cheeriest one, too… 🙂
My favorite is the June’s arrangement with the purple and white flowers in the teacup–I think it would be beautiful on a bedside table. And one of my favorite colors is purple and pink!
I think that one is sweet too! I have a weakness for teacups… 🙂
I’m crushing on the November arrangement. I love the generosity shared among my favorite bloggers!
Ginger
Oooh, pretty warm tones in that one… 🙂
They are all exquisite but since I am so crazy for roses I will have to go with March 🙂
Ah, yes, and the yellow is so springy!
They are all lovely, but May is my favorite.
Mine too! I think it’s the pink… 😉
Lory ! Thank you so very much for this beautiful post. I really appreciate you sharing my book with your lovely readers. It has been a crazy wonderful whirlwind since the launch. Thanks for making it extra special !
My pleasure Kelly! The book is just gorgeous!! And while they’re all stunning, it looks like May is the most popular with my readers… 🙂 We’re a pink crowd over here!
While I think all of the arrangements are beautiful, I especially love the one for May. All of the flowers used, the colors & the container are absolutely exquisite!! I want to order the book!
I so agree and you will definitely enjoy the book!
Hard decision because they are all so lovely. Since I need to choose one , I choose May. I love the variety of flowers and colors.
My personal fave too! How can you turn down pink peonies? 😉 But I agree the mix is lovely.
I especially like August – I love using blue and white porcelain as accents in my home and the golds and oranges are beautiful in the blue and white container?
Nice choice! It would be so interesting to know what all of these choices say about a person’s personality. I love blue and white too!!
July!
Pretty!
August is my favorite, love the contrast of blue and orange, they are all lovely. Thank you for sharing
Ah, that’s two votes for August. It is lovely!
They are all beautiful, but May is my definite pick! It’s so romantic….and with pink peonies, my favorite!
I so agree! Put pink peonies in anything and I’m hooked!!
They’re also pretty, but if I had to choose just one it would be May.
May looks like the clear winner among this group! 🙂
I love the December arrangement.
It’s a beautiful holiday arrangement, isn’t it?
They are all stunningly beautiful. I was torn between May and June. But I think May stole my heart. Love her work. Thank you for sharing. Flowers bring me joy as well. <3
Glad you enjoyed! I feel the same. I love the teacup and purple flowers in the June arrangement, but nothing tops pink peonies for me… 😉
Oh my goodness it looks beautiful! My favorite was April. I like the simple arrangement of daffodils (?) above the container.
Yes, that one is so cheerful, isn’t it?
I also love flowers. The May arrangement has to be my favorite. Love the colors and I love peonies. Love that Kelly wrote a book to share God’s beautiful creation the flower.
The March roses are my fave!
Ah, I think that’s two votes for March… 🙂
