Home Style Saturdays 32 | High Hopes for Starting My Garden
Happy weekend everyone! Hope it’s as lovely where you live as it is here. Spring is finally here for good… I hope… after a rainy yucky week.
Have you all started your gardening? Every year I have such high hopes for starting my garden but it never seems to happen. I think I’m pretty much the worst gardener on earth, but I still have the best intentions to try. Odd for someone who loves fresh flowers so much, isn’t it? Our home is nicely landscaped, so all I really have to do is put some flowering plants in. Maybe this will be the year?
The thing is, I can’t even keep house plants alive. In fact, I can’t even keep fresh basil growing! I’m a huge basil fan, so we’ll see how this little plant does.

Who doesn’t love fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, with basil and olive oil for a summer appetizer? Even served with just drinks on the patio, it would be perfect. We’ll see if I can keep any of the leaves alive long enough to serve even one group of friends!
Next up… container gardening on the patio. Ha! Maybe some day…
And because it’s Home Style saturday, here’s what my buddies have been up to. Enjoy!!

Lory, I’m a serial killer when it comes to plants. But I can grow basil, and your plant is already a little leggy. They love to be pinched back often and will get bushy. Good luck!
