In this post: Entertaining for spring can be a visual delight. These ideas for spring table decorations will inspire you to create your own beautiful event.
I found a way to draw out the spring season!
Ok, maybe not really, but how often have you heard people say we had no spring this year? That winter flowed right into summer with no stop in between for that precious season that we delight in called spring? Yes, true, here in the Northeast we’ve had some late winter snows, even extending into the beginning of April. But, if you offset that by the February heatwave, you realize, you cannot really define the season by the weather outside.
Instead, for me, spring is a state of mind. And I’ve been oh-so-ready for it since Valentine’s Day passed!
I enjoy celebrating spring in several phases, and I find this makes the season feel like it lasts a whole lot longer. Phase one begins with the first glimpses of nature re-awakening, when I like to use woodsy plants, greenery and birds for imagery in my spring table decorations. The second stage is dominated by signs of flowers pushing up, with early spring bulbs like daffodils, tulips and hyacinths adding cheer. Finally, once the season is in full bloom and we’re heading toward May, my styling takes a more feminine turn as I look toward entertaining for events like Mother’s Day and bridal showers.
So today I’m sharing some of my favorite spring posts, to inspire you as you plan your seasonal entertaining. These are mostly geared toward mid to late spring, and if you need more inspiration, I did a similar post last year which you can see HERE, which is comprised of a completely different crop of posts.
