  1. Your table settings are always so beautiful and this is no exception. I love the rich reds, the antique silvers and soft white linens. I quite often use pitchers for my flowers. I love the casualness it adds to some arrangements. Even though it is hard to think of fall in these hot temps of summer, I do enjoy seeing hints of early decorating without any distinct fall trademarks. Your good taste never fails.

Love the inclusion of White Orchid flatware! I collect that pattern and love using it whenever I can!

      1. Judith Lillard says:

Me too! A few years ago, a very good friend of mine gave me seven pieces of White Orchid that were her mother’s. That turned into an intense search for more. Last year, I actually found an entire new, never used set in the original box, at an excellent price! I was so excited!!

  4. Margaret Robinson says:

Love this table setting. It’s a perfect sequel into early Autumn, yet includes so much of Summer. Well done!

A question —— are the flowers around the bottom of the pitcher real? If so are they, how do you keep them fresh?

    1. Thank you so much! Yes, they are real. They can survive fine to get through the meal and then I move them into their own little vase. But you can also try placing a shallow bit of water in the tray.

  5. Elizabeth says:

Lory I agree! Four seasons are not enough! Lol! Your tablescape is so exquisite! Absolutely enjoyed looking at all the details.

  6. Biodynamic Barb says:

I LOVE this idea! I hate summer, and get euphoric as fall approaches, so the idea of ‘rushing it’ with a pre-fall table is really appealing. The flowers, of course, are what makes this table so beautiful. Can you share what they are? I’ve never seen those green buds with the orange tufts…. And, what is the chartreuse feathery stuff in the platter?

    Thank you!

Very pretty and I love the salad plates.

  12. I agree that the shades of fall to winter vary a bit and I too love to extend the seasons…especially fall:0)
The table setting is beautiful. Wish I had folks to set one for. I will use the colors to put into a wreath for the door..about time to change out the summer one.

  14. Stephanie says:

A gorgeous table. Thanks for sharing your ideas. I agree. There are 12 months and I enjoy changing out the decor more often than 4 times a year.

  15. I’m probably going to sound like a dunce, but why are the forks on the right side of the plate? I thought the forks always go on the left side of the plate. Thank you.
