1. Here are 4 Chic Color Themes for Creating an Outdoor Oasis on your patio this summer, with product recommendations to achieve the looks.

2. AMAZON PICKS: here are this week’s favorites from Amazon.

3. THIS WEEK ON THE BLOG I shared this Relaxing but Stylish Family Room and how it has evolved over time, this Dramatic Kitchen Renovation achieved on a budget without removing the cabinets, this White Bedroom perked up for spring with pops of color, and these Elegant Table Decor Ideas that are perfect for Mother’s Day or other spring celebrations.

4. CURRENT DECOR CRUSHES UNDER $60:

  • This lovely Fluted Tulip Cachepot
  • These Botanical Bamboo Melamine Salad Plates
  • This beautiful Spring Garden Coir Door Mat
  • This regal Potted Faux Orchid

5. CURRENT DECOR CRUSHES UNDER $100:

  • This hand-woven Gathering Basket Wall Decor

7. NEW ON THE BLOG: I recently updated the categories on the blog to make it easier to find what you’re looking for. If you’re on computer, you’ll find an enhanced menu when you hover over the “Decorate” tab, and on both mobile and desktop, you’ll find new category pages under Decorate for Seasonal Decor, Timeless Decor, Style by Room and My Home Tour. Under each, you’ll find further breakdowns to get to the posts you’re interested in.

8. FASHION PICKS:

  • This Oversize Cotton Button-Up Shirt (be sure to notice the center back button detail)
  • This sophisticated Classic Notched Collar Blazer (great price!) or this awesome Double Breasted Blazer
  • This Ribcage High Waist Wide Leg Jeans
  • This graceful Cap Toe Sling Back Pump
  • This lovely Handwoven Leather Tote

9. WHAT’S INSPIRING ME AROUND THE WEB: This exceedingly peaceful home is the very picture of understated elegance. This stunning bedroom is the epitome of a modern French aesthetic. Not a home, but I’m loving this simple DIY for creating pretty coasters.

10. UP NEXT: A primary bedroom update for spring…

1.) We’re diving into creative strategies and practical steps for building a basic capsule wardrobe. These ideas work for anyone, on any budget.

2.) Catch up on the best ideas and my favorite purchases on my Amazon shopping page!

3.) FAVORITE QUOTE: “Deep breaths are like little love notes for your body.”
FOUND HERE.

4.) If you have a white kitchen and are wishing for some lovely inspiration, I have just the thing. See how to add warmth, a little color, and amazing character.

5.) A few weeks ago I shared a refreshing spring decor idea that centered around adding bits of yellow to your existing decor. This article shows how to add pops of yellow in very small doses, and the ideas are adorable.

6.) FAVORITE FINDS FOR THE GARDENER:

  • this 3-piece garden tool set with wood handles
  • these feminine + floral Digz garden gloves
  • these wonderful garden scissors in two sizes
  • this viral white resin planter that’s beautiful + budget-friendly
  • this simple garden stool that comes in 4 colors
  • this handy garden apron with lots of pockets

7.) Mother’s Day is just around the corner! I just updated my Mother’s Day Gift Guide with some very fun things any woman would love.

8.) This colorful cottage bunkie might be small, but it’s full of personality and ideas. Inspired by its stunning surrounding landscape, this small bunkie in Lake Muskoka is decorated in a soothing palette of blue, green and brown.

9.) Last week I mentioned that I was watching a mini series on Hulu called We Were The Lucky Ones. There are four episodes available, with the fifth episode streaming tomorrow. It’s an amazing story about a Jewish family in Poland during World War II. So far, there have been a few difficult-to-watch scenes, but on the whole, it’s been wonderful. It’s a true story that has been fictionalized, but it’s historically accurate. I know it’s not for everyone, but if you like this sort of thing, it’s definitely a must-see.

10.) Wishing you all a peaceful week. XO

3. GOOD TO KNOW: There are almost 1,500 posts on StoneGable dating back fourteen years. Many of these archived posts are helpful but have thin content and ugly images. So, I’ve been updating them—rewriting them, adding lots of new, up-to-date content, and using new images. In essence, these old posts are new posts. 11 Tips For Making Faux Flowers Look Real and How To Handle Decorating Challenges And Getting Unstuck are two of these updated posts. I hope you check them out.

ANSWER TO #7: The name of April comes from the Greek word for opening, as in flowers opening up in the spring. The Titanic hit an iceberg and sank on April 14th, 1912.
