Clutter is the number one problem in most homes.
At least that’s the way it seems from the emails, comments and survey responses I always get. Organizing the home is by far the top concern for you, my readers, and is unequivocally the easiest way to improve the look of your home.
If you removed all the clutter and maybe painted the walls, you’d be 90% of the way there is most spaces. (Well, and maybe removed that ugly piece of furniture you hate… ;-)).
So the big question is HOW do you remove the clutter? Where do you put it? What do you toss? And how do you organize what’s left?
There are several times during the year that are tailor made for organizing and taking advantage of a fresh start, whether it be the start of a new year, spring cleaning, the beginning of the school year, or any random Tuesday.
So today I’m sharing my top 10 decluttering posts, all brought to you in one place. To be sure, there will be more new organization ideas coming from me throughout the year, but this post summarizes the best of them thus far.
How to Declutter Your Home
Most of my organizing posts fit into one of two categories. There are those that feature one specific area with step by step tips and before and after shots, and then there are those that are more holistic, focusing on decluttering as a whole, with overarching ideas and concepts.
